Our Story

After working for a large national tax preparation firm for two years, Gerard Cole founded GCole TaxPrep in 1987 to serve the needs of individuals, small businesses, and not-for-profits. For over 35 years, GCole TaxPrep has kept to its mission of providing top notch service to the clients it serves.

Gerard Cole holds a Bachelor degree in Business Administration, and a Master degree in Taxation. He has passed the IRS Registered Tax Return Preparer (RTRP) exam, and is a member of the National Association of Tax Professionals (NATP). In his free time, Gerard plays the role of Santa Claus in his town's annual holiday parade. He also served on the board of Norwood Youth Soccer for 20 years as its treasurer.

Bookkeeping

If your business doesn’t have an accountant on staff, bookkeeping can be an exercise in frustration. Let me make your job easier with my bookkeeping service. I will manage your chart of accounts and keep a set of books that accurately reflects the financial state of your business.

Financial Statements

Financial statements are useful tools for decision making and for representing the state of your business’ finances to outside parties. I can work with your staff to produce accurate monthly or annual financial statements that reflect the financial health of your business.

Notary Public

For your convenience, I have a notary public available to witness and authenticate the execution of documents and signatures.

With tax laws changing every year, it can be a challenge to keep on top of the particular changes that affect you and your business. I can use my expertise to prepare your individual and business tax returns and advise you on ways to minimize your tax liability.
